PASTOR ADEBOYE REVEALS GOD WARNED HIM THAT LEAVING RCCG WOULD COST HIS FIRSTBORN’S LIFE
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has revealed that God once gave him a stern warning not to leave the denomination, saying his firstborn would die if he did.
Speaking during the June edition of the Holy Ghost Service held at Redemption City, Ogun State, Adeboye shared this divine message while emphasizing the need for spiritual steadfastness. The service carried the theme “Destined for Greatness (Part 2).”
The revered cleric made the revelation while reacting to a sermon by his son, Pastor Leke Adeboye, who had expressed concern over how many young believers frequently move from one church to another, always identifying themselves as first-time visitors.
Reflecting on the early days of his ministry, Pastor Adeboye said there were three prominent ministries flourishing at the time.
Despite this, he explained that God instructed him to remain with RCCG. “God told me, ‘Son, I brought you here. This is where you will stay. The day you leave this denomination, your firstborn will die,’” he recounted.
