The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has praised the Saudi Arabian government and Daleel Al Maalim Transportation Company for their support and warm hospitality to Nigerian pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj.

NAHCON Chairman/CEO, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, gave the commendation during a dinner hosted in Makkah by Daleel Al Maalim to celebrate the successful completion of this year’s Hajj rites. The statement was released by NAHCON’s Principal Information Officer, Malam Shafii Mohammed.

Prof. Usman expressed deep gratitude to the Saudi authorities and Daleel Al Maalim for their efforts in making the pilgrimage smooth and memorable.

“Hajj is more than a religious obligation; it is a powerful symbol of unity and brotherhood in the Muslim world,” he said. “We sincerely appreciate the generosity and professionalism shown throughout the process, especially in facilitating the movement of Nigerian pilgrims across the holy sites.”

He noted that the transportation company’s service and cooperation reflected true Islamic brotherhood and left a lasting impression on Nigerian pilgrims.

Prof. Usman also lauded the Saudi government for its excellent organisation of the pilgrimage, describing the country as a “trustworthy custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.” He commended the arrangements made in areas such as security, healthcare, and crowd management.

“Despite the harsh weather, this year’s Hajj recorded minimal incidents. This is thanks to Allah’s mercy, the dedication of all involved, and the unrelenting support of Saudi authorities,” he said.

The NAHCON boss extended President Bola Tinubu’s appreciation to the Saudi government and Daleel Al Maalim, describing the President as a leader who truly cares about the welfare of Nigerian Muslims. He also conveyed special greetings from Vice President Kashim Shettima, who closely monitored the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims throughout their journey.

“From Madinah to Arafat, the Vice President kept asking about the wellbeing of our pilgrims. His involvement was consistent and heartfelt,” Prof. Usman said.

He expressed optimism that NAHCON’s partnership with Daleel Al Maalim would grow stronger in future Hajj operations and concluded with prayers for continued peace and prosperity in Saudi Arabia.

The event was attended by NAHCON board members, staff, state pilgrims welfare officials, representatives of Daleel Al Maalim, and other stakeholders.
